Meet Gina! This beautiful, 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix is a bundle of playful energy and affection, weighing in at 56lbs. She was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, left to fend for herself near a busy road. Thankfully, she was rescued and is now thriving in a loving foster home, eagerly awaiting her forever family. Gina is a toy enthusiast, loves to collect her treasures in her bed, and enjoys a good game of fetch. She's also learning to entertain herself and is a smart cookie who enjoys positive training.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She would do best with another dog in the home to keep her company and help her burn off energy. She's looking for a family that understands how to raise a large, energetic pup into a well-mannered adult, providing plenty of socialization, positive training, and enrichment. While she loves attention, Gina can be jumpy when excited and is unaware of her size, so a home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) is recommended. She would prefer a cat-free home due to her enthusiasm for neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health
Gina is generally healthy and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Gina is house-trained and crate-trained, comfortable being crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat treats alone and is in the "puppy velociraptor stage," so she'll need guidance on appropriate chewing habits. Due to a past negative experience with larger dogs, slow introductions are recommended when meeting new canine friends.
