Meet Mila! This sweet, 3-year-old, 40lb bundle of energy is a Pitbull/Staffie mix looking for her forever home. Mila is incredibly people-oriented and affectionate, always ready with a cuddle or a kiss for her favorite humans. She's super curious and loves to explore, making her a wonderful companion for an active family. Mila is smart and eager to please, picking up new lessons quickly with the right encouragement. She absolutely adores food and treats, and her foster mom notes she's a quick eater, so separate meal times are recommended for household harmony. Mila has done well with children of various ages, but we generally recommend homes with kids over 10 or those who are very dog-savvy. She also gets along great with dogs of all sizes and seems to particularly enjoy playing with larger pups who can match her enthusiasm.
Ideal Home
Mila would thrive in a home with a moderately to very active family who enjoys the outdoors. She'd love a running partner or an adventure buddy! An ideal home would have older children (10+) or a kid-free environment, and at least one other dog for her to play with. Because she's used to having someone around and has a doggy door, she may do best in a home where someone is present more often than not.
Ongoing Health
Mila is a healthy, spayed female.
Training & Support
Mila is still young and has a lot to learn! She hasn't been crate trained as she's always had access to her foster's doggy door. While she's proven trustworthy when left alone (provided food and trash are secured), some additional training and structure would be beneficial. She can be a bit jumpy with other dogs, so continued positive reinforcement will help her learn appropriate play etiquette. Patience, reassurance, and consistent guidance will help her adjust beautifully and become the best girl she can be.
