Meet Rowan, a tiny gentleman with a heart of gold! This handsome fellow is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and weighs about 39 pounds. He looks like a perfectly compact Lab/Pittie mix with the sweetest face, adorable floppy ears, and soft, soulful eyes that will melt your heart. Rowan is past his boisterous puppy phase and is now in a wonderfully calm age.
Rowan is a gentle, quiet, and sensitive soul. He's not one to demand attention but prefers to quietly observe and earn your affection. New places and people can make him a bit shy initially, so he thrives with patient individuals who understand he needs time to feel safe and decompress. Once he's comfortable, he'll calmly sit by your side, offering peaceful companionship without any drama. He's incredibly respectful and easygoing with other dogs, showing no interest in play but calmly acknowledging their presence.
Ideal Home
Rowan would flourish in a calm, quieter environment with patient people who understand the needs of a shy dog. A home with a yard would be ideal. While he hasn't been formally tested with children, older, calm kids would likely be the best fit, and we can certainly arrange a kid-test for interested adopters. Busy apartment living might be overwhelming for him.

Rowan is generally healthy and has been fully vetted, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Rowan is a sensitive boy who needs time to build trust. He will benefit from continued patience and positive reinforcement as he settles into his new home.

Rowan is currently in Texas. Wags offers nationwide transport with a USDA-certified system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
