Meet Mena! This gorgeous Catahoula mix is about 1 year old and weighs around 26 lbs. Mena has striking markings and the most stunning, mismatched eyes that are sure to catch your attention. She's not just a pretty face, though; Mena has a happy, friendly spirit and loves making new friends. She was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama and is now eagerly waiting to find her forever family. Mena is at a prime age for training and socialization, and she's ready to learn, explore, and show off her smarts.

Ideal Home

Mena might do best as an only dog or with slow introductions to other pets, as she can be a little possessive of her toys and food. With guidance and consistency, this behavior can be easily managed.

Ongoing Health

Mena's adoption fee covers basic vetting, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, and monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention while in our care. She will also have her spay/neuter surgery covered by K-9 Lifesavers at 6 months of age.

Training & Support

Mena will need a refresher in house-training. We strongly recommend enrolling Mena in obedience training to help with her transition into a new home, ensure she remains well-socialized, and build a strong bond with her new family.

Transportation
