We call him Sammy, but maybe you can call him yours? Sammy is simply so sweet! We can't get enough of this boy. We're thinking Sammy is somewhere in between part bunny and part couch potato. His little bunny hops are adorable; you may catch him on the basketball court. I'm sure the NBA could use someone like him. I think Sammy is probably happiest with a toy in his mouth. I don't know which he is better at, fetch or tug-of-war? I guess you will just have to find out for yourself. Don't let his athleticism fool you, he would definitely cuddle all day long if you let him. He is friendly with everyone he meets, and he loves doggies of all shapes and sizes. Sammy is just a catch! Ideal Home
Sammy would love a home with a yard where he can zoom around and play, or at least a home where he can enjoy a couple of walks each day to get his energy out. He's still got that puppy energy but he also does well with older foster siblings that are less playful. He's happy to entertain himself with a chew toy while watching TV, so he can really make himself at home anywhere.
Ongoing Health
Sammy is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, is microchipped, and has been given flea and heartworm preventatives. He will also receive a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Sammy is a treat-motivated boy, so future training should be a breeze! He's already mastered waiting patiently for his turn, even during "banana time" with his siblings. He also knows to wait by the door before going for walks and is comfortable eating and sleeping in his crate. He does best with durable toys, as he loves to shred stuffing!

Transporation
Sammy is located in Texas, but we facilitate adoptions nationwide. Transport is available to drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
