About Finn (2026)

Meet Finn — your future adventure buddy with a heart of gold and energy to match!

Finn is a striking black-and-white Border Collie, around 1–2 years old and 50 lbs. When he arrived, he was dealing with a significant skin infection and patchy hair loss, but with treatment and care, his coat is growing back beautifully and now shines with a healthy, glossy finish. Finn is a medium-high energy guy who's looking for an adopter with Border Collie (or similar herding breed) experience. It's clear he didn't have much guidance early on, so he came to us as a bit of a blank slate. The good news? He's incredibly smart, eager to learn, and thriving with structure and training. He adores people and is learning good manners like keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting. Because of his enthusiasm, a home with children 7+ would be the best fit. He hasn't been tested with cats, but he is VERY interested in squirrels — so a home without small critters is likely best.

Ideal Home

An active family who will include him in adventures like hiking, camping, and long walks. A home without small critters. A home with children 7+. Experience with herding breeds is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Finn is up to date on vaccines, on preventatives, and neutered. He was treated for a significant skin infection and patchy hair loss upon arrival, and his coat is now growing back beautifully.

Training & Support

Finn is crate trained and knows sit, down, look, and come. He is working on wait and stay. He loves training sessions and is very treat-motivated. He is improving his leash skills and is continuing to learn to keep all four paws on the floor when greeting. Daily physical and mental exercise will be key to keeping this bright boy happy.
