Dogwood is an almost 7-month-old handsome young pup with a sleek golden coat, warm amber eyes, and the sweetest floppy ears. His happy smile is hard to resist, and his sturdy, athletic build hints that he's ready for adventures, but don't let that fool you! His personality is much more laid-back than you'd expect. Dogwood is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. While he enjoys a good game and exploring the yard, he's not a nonstop ball of energy. His foster mom describes him as laid-back, lazy, and incredibly loving. He's happiest hanging out with his people, soaking up affection, and proudly carrying toys in his mouth, a classic Lab trait that's absolutely adorable.
This sweet boy loves being part of the family and has an affectionate, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to live with. Whether he's following you around the house with his latest "treasure," lounging nearby while you work, or leaning in for pets, Dogwood is simply happy to be wherever you are. Ongoing Health
All vetting is up to date, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, and a heartworm test. He is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Dogwood is working on his crate training, potty training, and leash walking. He has been assessed by trainers on staff, and individualized behavior plans are created to help prepare dogs for their future families.

Dogwood is located in the Greater Houston area. Transport is available nationwide with a $87 surcharge due to rising costs. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
