Lalo is a charming Chihuahua, born in August 2022, who is bursting with personality and loves nothing more than cuddling on his favorite person's lap. He's active, leash-trained, and ready to explore the world with his new family. Lalo is working hard on his potty training with his foster mom, and while the cold weather can be a challenge, he's making great progress!
Ideal Home
Lalo would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore. He is recommended for children 12 and up. While he gets along with his foster's cat, he does tend to chase at times, so a home without cats or with a very tolerant feline friend might be best. He prefers to be the only dog in the household.
Ongoing Health
Lalo has been diagnosed with petit mal seizure disorder and requires a daily, inexpensive medication to manage it.
Training & Support
Lalo is still working on his potty training and would benefit from continued consistency and positive reinforcement. He is a great dog with a lot of love to give, and his new family should be prepared to offer him plenty of affection and attention.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- All adoptions require a completed adoption application.
- Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal's foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.
- If you and the animal are a good match, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal.
- We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit (virtual in some cases) during the application approval process.
- We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal's needs.
- If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
Transportation
Adoptions for all of our animals take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
