Ann Marie is the kind of dog who makes you wonder why anyone ever leaves the couch in the first place. One look at her wiggly little body, her happy piggy-snorts, and her dramatic belly-flop routine and you'll understand exactly why she's the absolute sweetest girl ever. Ann Marie feels a little too formal for a dog whose greatest passions in life are naps, snacks, belly rubs, and aggressively cuddling anyone who dares sit down near her. This girl is basically a professional snuggler. At around 8 years old and 50 pounds, Ann Marie has perfected the art of being the ideal low-maintenance companion. She's happy to snooze beside you during a movie marathon, supervise your patio lunch date, join you for a beach day, or accompany you on leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. She is the perfect mix of silly and settled. Ann Marie absolutely adores people. She lights up around affection and naturally gravitates toward human companionship wherever she goes. She has lived with a child and done wonderfully. She is the kind of dog who wants to quietly exist alongside her people, occasionally waddling over for kisses and couch cuddles before returning to her very important nap schedule.
Ideal Home
Ann Marie would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can fully relax and soak up all the attention. However, with the right match, she may also do well with a calm, confident, lower-energy male dog who respects boundaries and doesn't try to constantly engage her. If there's already another dog in the home, her rescue team would want a trainer discussion beforehand to help ensure it's the right fit for everyone involved. She would do best with calm, dog-savvy kitties who mostly keep to themselves.

Ann Marie is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, and a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Ann Marie is house-trained, non-destructive, rides wonderfully in the car, and walks beautifully on leash. She doesn't need much exercise beyond short strolls and sniffy adventures. She would be an amazing apartment dog and would be just as content with a yard to sunbathe in.

Ann Marie is located in Texas and can be transported to various locations nationwide through our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real-time and receive photo updates.
