Micaela is a resilient and brave young husky, approximately 2 years old, who has overcome immense hardship. She arrived at the shelter in pain with a fractured jaw, significant misalignment, and bleeding gums, likely due to untreated injuries that led to infection and damaged teeth. Despite her difficult past, Micaela is showing incredible strength and a gentle spirit. She leans into affection and watches her caregivers with grateful eyes, clearly happy to be safe. Her story is one of survival, second chances, and the power of compassion.

Micaela is heartworm positive and is undergoing slow-kill treatment for a safe and steady recovery. She has also had a full dental cleaning and removal of damaged teeth to address her past injuries. She is expected to live a completely normal, pain-free life.
