Reese - Reduced Adoption Fee

Hey there, it's me, Reese! I arrived at the shelter in December 2025 with my brother, Diesel. I wasn't quite ready for my close-up because meeting new people can be a bit overwhelming for me at first. I need a few gentle introductions before I can add you to my inner circle of trust. But once I decide you're okay, I'm a total loyalty machine! I'll be your shadow, your protector, and your biggest fan. I'm about 3 years old and weigh around 65lbs. I love to make you laugh with my goofy tricks and I'm an excellent listener if you just need a shoulder to lean on. I face the world head-on and am always up for an adventure or a good romp in the yard, but I'm also a huge softie for affection. Belly rubs, ear scratches, and a treat or two are sure to win me over. If you're looking for a devoted, entertaining, and fearless friend, I'm your guy!

Ideal Home

I need a home where I can have all of your attention to myself. I get overly excited when I see other dogs, especially small ones, and I also get too interested in cats and small pocket pets. I need a patient person who can help me continue to build my confidence around new men, though I do warm up with slow, structured introductions.

Ongoing Health

I was already neutered when I arrived at the shelter. I've received my DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, and I've also been dewormed.

Training & Support

I've been working with a trainer for the last few months on my reactivity towards new people and I'm making great progress! I do tend to pull on the leash, so the staff here have been using a Halti with me, which has been very helpful.
