Meet Fabio!

This handsome youngster, with a flowing blond mane, has had a bit of a rough start. At just 10 months old, he was surrendered to animal control because he reportedly doesn't know how to play and bites during play. We suspect this might be a misunderstanding of puppy mouthing and play behavior, as we haven't observed any aggression. He was also quite matted, indicating a lack of understanding of proper grooming, but he was a very good boy during his shave down. Fabio is terrified of other dogs, initially barking to scare them, but then hiding and cowering in fear. We are working on socializing him with calm, small, neutral dogs, and he's showing cautious curiosity. Fabio is a terrier mix, possibly with some Silky Terrier, weighing under 15 lbs and possessing a long, low build with a mix of soft, curly hair and wiry fur on his legs and tail. He seems to be an adventurous terrier looking for an active home to share fun times. He's a smart, sensitive, and attentive little guy who is quickly picking up on crate training and housebreaking.

Ideal Home

An active home that can provide enrichment and understanding of puppy play behaviors. Fabio is terrified of other dogs and needs a home without them, or one where he can be slowly introduced to calm, neutral dogs.

No specific health conditions mentioned, but he was found to be matted and received a shave down.

Training & Support

Fabio is learning to understand appropriate play and is working on socialization with other dogs. He is picking up crate training and housebreaking quickly.
