Meet Michelle! This charming 3-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing around 48 pounds, is eager to find her forever family. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is now thriving in a foster home in Houston, Texas, ready for transport to her approved adopter.
Michelle is a super friendly, affectionate, and social girl who adores other dogs. She loves to play and nap with her foster siblings, and while she's a bit enthusiastic, she's great at reading their cues and adjusting her play style. Outside, she has plenty of energy for running around, but inside, she's a mellow companion, happy to lounge and snooze.
Ideal Home
Michelle has met children 8 and up and was very sweet. However, she can jump when excited, so a home with kids 12+ or dog-savvy teens would be ideal. She would also thrive with another friendly dog.

Training & Support
Michelle is fully housebroken and crate trained, even choosing to relax in her crate. She's food-motivated and a quick learner, but can be a bit sneaky with food, so she's fed separately and benefits from guidance during snack times. She responds well to redirection. She walks fairly well on leash but tends to pull; continued leash training will help her improve. Michelle loves to chew, especially on outdoor items, so supervision and crate time when unsupervised are important. She's also an escape artist who can scale fences, so a secure yard or consistent leash walks are a must. She would do well in an apartment or urban setting with consistent exercise and enrichment.
