Euphoria is a 7-month-old Boxer/Terrier mix, weighing around 18 lbs (as of May 1st), and is expected to reach about 35 lbs full grown. She's a resilient survivor of parvo with no long-term health implications. Euphoria is a wonderfully sweet and calm puppy who initially needed some time to feel secure before her delightful personality truly blossomed. Once she settled in, she became incredibly affectionate, with her absolute favorite thing being cuddles, whether it's dozing off in your arms or snuggling up beside you. She has a funny quirk of collecting items, especially shoes, and bringing them to her bed, though she doesn't tend to chew on them. She's a fast learner, highly motivated by food, and is already doing well with pee pad training. Euphoria is not overly mouthy, rarely barks, and settles nicely in her crate if introduced gently. Her days are structured yet flexible, typically starting with a pee pad visit around 6-7 AM, followed by breakfast and playtime. She has short crate sessions throughout the day, interspersed with potty breaks, meals, naps, and some independent play or lounging nearby while you work. Evenings are usually relaxed with cuddling and light play before an evening meal around 8 PM and bedtime around midnight. She generally sleeps through the night, though she might whine briefly when first put down. A minor challenge is that she can get easily distracted by people, especially during potty time, sometimes seeking attention on the pad instead of doing her business, which is understandable given how adorable she is!
Ideal Home
This pup requires an adopter with intermediate dog ownership experience. Euphoria needs significant structure, plenty of daily exercise (at least 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning, plus potty breaks and mental stimulation throughout the day), and consistent training. Her adopter should have prior experience with a similar breed, temperament, or energy level, which includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult.
Ongoing Health
Euphoria is a healthy puppy who has been spayed and is up-to-date on her DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. She has also been microchipped and treated with dewormer.
Training & Support
Euphoria is working on her potty training and doing great with pee pads. She has a tendency to mouth and needs training in this area, as she may try to put her mouth on hands during play or grab at leashes. She is adjusting well to being left alone and usually settles down after a few minutes. She has not yet mastered leash manners and pulls significantly. Children must always be supervised and taught to interact respectfully with dogs.
