Junie is a delightful 1-year-old, 32 lb Schnauzer/Poodle mix with a heart full of love and a spirit full of playfulness. She was rescued just in time and has blossomed into a smart, engaging, and incredibly cuddly companion. Junie has beautiful golden eyes that seem to hold a wisdom beyond her years. Her coat has the potential to be stunning, soft, and shining with proper grooming and nutrition. Junie is eager to please and thrives on positive reinforcement, responding wonderfully to belly rubs and kind words. She is equally happy being an active participant in adventures or snuggling up as a couch potato with her favorite people.
Ideal Home
Junie would thrive in a home with an energetic, retired individual or couple who can dedicate time to training and enjoying her silly, super-smart nature. She would do best in a home where she isn't left alone for long hours, ideally with someone who works from a home-based office. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she does not require a canine companion to be happy. Junie would prefer a home with older children, as she can become fearful if treated roughly by young ones.
Ongoing Health
Junie will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition. Her coat is currently a bit "shelter-tired" but will become soft and shiny with regular care. She will be up-to-date on vetting and vaccinations and will be spayed.
Training & Support
Junie is very smart and engaging, typical of her breed mix. She excels with positive reinforcement and loves to make her people happy. She enjoys relationships with both humans and other dogs. A family invested in spending quality time with their pup will find Junie to be a pleasant and portable companion, ready for any adventure.
