Meet Ivan, the Iconic, a year-and-a-half-old, 50-pound goofball who looks like he walked straight out of a dog-themed rom-com! He's all wiggly enthusiasm, silly charm, and sweet, squishy pittie/staffy-mix good looks, complete with those giant radar-dish ears that turn him into the cutest little deer when he's curious. Ivan LOVES life! He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys a good game of fetch, though he may occasionally decide to keep the toy. He also loves water and will happily chomp at the hose. Ivan is a sweet, affectionate boy who warms up quickly. He may be a little aloof at first, but once he's your person, he melts into you for belly rubs and snuggles. He's treat-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training him a fun and rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who likes to play but can also set boundaries when needed. He responds well to dogs with clear social cues. Because he thinks cats are fun little sprinting targets and would chase them for sport, he needs a feline-free home. He would be wonderful with older children who won't get knocked over during a case of the zoomies and could learn to give younger children space with time. He will thrive with a yard to burn energy, an active adopter, someone who enjoys training and play, and clear boundaries and routine.

Ivan is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
