Meet Oakley! This handsome 68lb terrier/pit bull mix, born around December 16, 2021, is a true sweetheart looking for his forever home. Oakley is incredibly affectionate and will stick by your side like glue, always wanting to be in the same room as you. He's a very smart and independent boy who already knows how to "sit" and "get on your bed."
Oakley absolutely loves his walks, enjoying 3-4 outings a day and is a pro at leash manners. He understands the command "slow down" when on a walk. While he tolerates other dogs, he would likely be happiest as the only canine in the household, as he does enjoy a good chase with cats and squirrels. Cuddling up by your side is one of his favorite pastimes. It's truly heartwarming to see how sweet Oakley is, considering his difficult past. He was found as a stray in a rough neighborhood, emaciated and with a severely injured ear. If you're searching for a loyal best friend to give a wonderful life to, Oakley is waiting with the warmest greetings and happiest tail wags.

Oakley would likely thrive in a home where he can be your constant companion. He would probably prefer to be the only dog in the home.

Transporation
Oakley is located in Houston, TX, and transport is available out of state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
