Skipper

Meet Skipper! If you're looking for a sporty, energetic dog to match your active lifestyle, Skipper is your girl! She's been with us for a little over two years, making her one of our cherished long-term residents. Skipper came to us with an injury to her front leg, which was later amputated. She has fully healed and has blossomed into a pup with a delightful personality, especially with those she trusts.

Skipper is a charming black and white tripod who absolutely adores a game of fetch. She's the perfect companion for a baseball or softball enthusiast, as she can play for hours! When she's all tuckered out from playtime, Skipper reveals her sweet, cuddly side and loves to relax close to her favorite people.

Ideal Home

Skipper would do best as the only pet in the home, as she is not good with other dogs or cats. She may need a little extra time to warm up to new people, but treats and a ball are a great way to build her trust.

Ongoing Health

Skipper's leg amputation has healed, and she navigates the world wonderfully as a tripod.

Training & Support

Skipper is learning basic commands like "sit," "down," and "leave it." She is still working on leash manners but excels with a head halter and responds well to treats for redirection.
