Well hello there! Sage here, a 4-year-old, 29lb Cocker Spaniel boy with a whole lot of love to give! I was rescued from a local shelter and let me tell you, I am ready to make the absolute most of my second chance! I’m what you’d call a velcro dog — I want to be right next to you, getting pets and cuddles, ALL the time. Fetch is my jam. My foster mom says she’s never played fetch this long with any dog before — I bring it back every single time and I could seriously go for HOURS. I also love toys, especially ripping them apart (they don’t stand a chance against me). I get along with other dogs and cats too, though honestly, playing with my humans is my favorite game of all. I think I would do fine with kids 12 and up. I’m pretty good on a leash with just a little extra work needed on my enthusiastic pulling, and I absolutely LOVE going to the dog park! I’m crate-trained and also a great car-riding buddy. I mind my manners at mealtime and respect my dog housemates’ food bowls. With all the recent changes in my life, I may need a little house-training refresher, but I am a good boy and smart too; I am learning quickly. Foster Mom is even going to start teaching me some basic commands. I love being with my humans so much that it’s hard to be apart from them; I would really do best with a family who’s home more often than not. I’m brand new to my foster home and still finding my footing, so for now I get a little nervous when left alone and will cry or bark. I think once I settle in and get to know my humans’ routines, I will feel right at home. I’m ready to find my new best friend and #1 fetch partner — could that be you?
