Whoopi is the kind of dog who makes herself unforgettable. This beautiful girl was found abandoned in the middle of the road, left to fend for herself. She was also diagnosed with heartworm, but thanks to rescue and dedicated care, she's well on her way to a full recovery and finally getting the life she's always deserved. At heart, Whoopi is a total lovebug. She absolutely melts for belly rubs, face scratches, and being as close to her people as possible. She's incredibly soft, loves to cuddle (especially in bed!), and while she gets the occasional burst of playful energy, she's mostly a calm, easygoing girl who is happiest curled up for a nap by your side. Her adorable smile and irresistibly squishy cheeks make it impossible not to fall in love. Whoopi is also one smart cookie. She's already potty trained, knows "sit," quickly learns routines, and proudly heads straight to her treat spot after walks. She's respectful in the home, only chews on her toys and bones, and enjoys tagging along for car rides. In just a few days with her foster, she's shown herself to be deeply loyal and devoted—the kind of companion who forms an incredible bond with her family. Whoopi definitely has the best Queen energy!! She would do best in a home without cats, and we're still learning how she feels about other dogs. She had one altercation with a dog known to be dog-aggressive, so it's unclear who initiated it. Because of that, we'll continue slowly introducing her to other dogs and working on her social skills. She has also started leash training with a prong collar and has already made tremendous progress after just one day. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal while she continues building her confidence. Whoopi has overcome so much, yet she still chooses to trust, love, and cuddle with her whole heart. Now all she needs is a family willing to give this sweet, loyal girl the forever home she's been waiting for. In return, she'll reward you with endless snuggles, unwavering devotion, and that unforgettable smile every single day.
