When it comes to people, Axel has a unique way of expressing his desire for attention. He'll happily "talk" to you with his barks, letting you know he'd love some affection. Once you approach him for a greeting, his barks quickly turn into happy tail wags and affectionate gestures. He just wants to be noticed and cherished.

Axel is already potty trained and settles well inside the home. He enjoys relaxing by the window, watching the world go by, but don't let his laid-back nature fool you – he also loves zooming around the backyard and exploring the outdoors. He's still perfecting his leash manners and would thrive with a family committed to helping him build confidence on walks. Axel's journey began when he was discovered abandoned in an empty apartment. Thankfully, a kind foster gave him a second chance, and despite his past, Axel remains incredibly loving, trusting, and ready to find a forever family who will never leave him again. We're unsure how Axel would do with cats, but we can arrange a kitty-test for serious adopters.

Transportation

Axel is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee. Transport may include pickup locations in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
