Meet Valentine, a magnificent 5-year-old Pyrenees/Hound mix with a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit! Formerly known as Jimmy, Valentine first came to us over three years ago and found a wonderful home. Sadly, circumstances have led him back to us, and he's now seeking his true forever family. Valentine is a high-energy dog who truly blossoms in a country setting where he has plenty of space to roam and explore. He recently experienced a move to city life and found it quite stressful, making it clear that his ideal home is one that embraces a more rural lifestyle.
Valentine is a housetrained and well-mannered companion indoors. He walks beautifully on a leash and has a proven track record of getting along with other dogs, cats, and even livestock. He's even learning to be a perfect gentleman around chickens! He absolutely loves to explore and be given tasks, which is why he becomes stressed in confined city environments with unfamiliar people and animals. He is incredibly loyal and affectionate, showering his favorite humans with attention and enjoying good head scratches. Valentine is also a fantastic guardian; he once even scared off a bear! Just a heads-up, he's not a fan of the rain and much prefers sunny days! He's guaranteed to be your devoted companion for life.
Ideal Home
Valentine thrives in a country environment with ample space for him to run, explore, and have a "job." He struggles with city life and would not be suited for an urban setting.

Valentine is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Valentine is housetrained and walks well on a leash. He is learning to be well-behaved around chickens. He needs a home that understands his need for space and activity to prevent stress.

Transportation
We are located in South Carolina and offer transport to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their new pet. We offer local or virtual meet-and-greets once an application is on file.
