About Sienna

Sienna is a sweet 5-year-old girl who came to us in May 2023 after a difficult start. She was purchased from a stranger in a park, and sadly, her owners soon discovered she was having grand mal seizures. Despite their best efforts to manage her condition, her health declined, and they reached out for help. Sienna spent time at an emergency hospital where she was stabilized and diagnosed with a liver shunt, which was surgically repaired. While the surgery fixed the underlying issue, her seizure activity continued. Further diagnostics revealed permanent brain damage from years of seizures, but the good news is that with proper management, she can live a good quality life. Sienna is now seizure-free for over a month and enjoys her twice-daily medications, which she happily takes for her favorite treat: food! She loves to be in the kitchen and is always excited when someone is around. Sienna is a joy to be around; she's gentle, curious, and wonderful with the groomer.

Ideal Home

Sienna would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can do her business. She does have occasional accidents inside, so a home that understands and can accommodate this with stylish belly bands would be ideal. She is good with people and other animals. However, due to her innocent nature, she may not understand how to react to an aggressive dog, so a home with pleasant, well-behaved canine companions is a must.

Ongoing Health

Sienna has permanent brain damage from past seizures. She requires two medications twice daily to manage her seizure activity. While her liver shunt was repaired, seizure activity may continue, but currently, she is seizure-free.

Training & Support

Sienna is house-trained but will have accidents, and belly bands are recommended. She is leash-trained but prefers her fenced yard. She takes her medications willingly due to her love of food.
