Moose is a 9-month-old shepsky with stunning blue eyes, a playful spirit, and a heart overflowing with love! This handsome boy is affectionate, energetic, and always ready for an adventure with his favorite people. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is eager to learn and grow in a loving home. Moose is friendly with dogs and cats, and his favorite activities include exploring, hiking, playing, and going for long walks. He walks well on a leash and would be a fantastic companion for an active family. Moose is incredibly people-oriented and loves to be close to his humans, whether you're relaxing at home or out and about. He's a fast learner, especially when motivated by food and praise, and beams with pride when called a "good boy"!
Ideal Home
Moose would thrive in an active home that understands he's still a young dog learning the ropes. A family willing to continue his training and help him build good habits is essential. He would benefit greatly from a home with a parent who works from home or is a stay-at-home parent, allowing for more frequent opportunities to reinforce house training. He can be the sole canine in the home to soak up all the attention, but he also does well with other animals. Yards MUST be adequately and fully fenced; electric or underground fences are not accepted.
Ongoing Health
Moose is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.
Training & Support
Like many young dogs, Moose will thrive with continued training to help him build good habits. He currently attends doggie daycare, where he is well-loved. He is highly intelligent and food-motivated, making him an excellent candidate for training. Continued guidance and appropriate management around food and toys with other dogs will help him succeed.
