Daphne

Daphne is a very special dog with a waived adoption fee! She spent the first two years of her life alone in the woods, and while she arrived to us feral, she's blossomed into a lovely little princess. Daphne can be nervous around new people and situations, but she thrives with gentle encouragement and a familiar environment. She forms strong bonds and loves to be brushed, complimented, and enjoys her toys and people food. Daphne is described as being more like a cat, seeking a family who understands her unique needs and doesn't expect her to fit a conventional mold. She also has a unique love for her stroller, which allows her to join in on walks!

Ideal Home

Daphne requires a home with at least one other friendly, confident dog as her playmate and support system. She also needs a securely fenced backyard, as she is still adjusting to being outside. A quiet home environment would be ideal. If children are present, it's crucial they understand the importance of not leaving doors open, as Daphne can be prone to darting outside.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but Daphne is still working on her confidence and adjusting to new experiences.

Training & Support

Daphne is still working on her confidence with new people and is currently using potty pads indoors. The goal is to gradually introduce her to going outside at her own pace. She needs a patient family who will work with her to build trust and understand her cues.
