Meet Gomez (ACCT-A-253668)! This friendly, goofy boy is ready to find a forever home where he can share his wiggly personality and sweet spirit. Gomez is a social butterfly who is known for his soft eyes and low, happy wags. He was found wandering with a friend and has been a true gentleman since arriving at the shelter.

Gomez is a smart lad who is very treat-motivated. He takes snacks gently and is a huge fan of peanut butter, which is the perfect way to make him your best friend! While he can be a little enthusiastic and jumpy when he's excited to see you, his wiggly body and "goofy" demeanor are sure to keep you smiling. He is a social boy who has done well with handling and is looking for a family who can continue to help him learn and grow. Behavioral Notes

06/27/2026 per staff behavioral eval: Kennel Presentation: At the front of the kennel with soft eyes, ears forward and tail down not moving. Took a treat gently through the bars.

Leash Skills: when i first attempted to take Gomez out he was muzzle punching as i opened each lock of the crate. I tossed treats in and he ate them. Place the leash in and he grabbed the leash tugging it. I came back later with a tube of PB. While he licked the PB i was able to leash and Gomez came out of the crate without hesitation. Mildly pulled on the leash.

Sociability: allowed all handling with loose/wiggly body, soft eyes and ears to the side. Gentle taking treats. He can get a little jumpy and may knock you over even crouched down.

Return to Kennel: needed treat toss to return to crate and remove leash with hand

Color Level: blue

Recommendations and considerations: not foster eligible at this time due leash biting

06/27/2026 per staff: Meeting Romano, forward and slightly tense body, loosened up into similar place style to Romano of short, choppy movements. Attempted to hump a few times

06/22/2026 per staff: Was found running at large with morticia and is likely bonded with her. Friendly goofy boy. Maintained loose body and low wags. Allowed me to leash and allowed all handling. Pulls moderately on leash. Hesitant to enter kennel. Would benefit from getting out in playgroup with his friend morticia
