Georgey is an 11-month-old, 32 lb pup who we believe is a mix of Australian Kelpie with Lab or Catahoula. He's petite and adorable, and we think he's reached his full adult size. Georgey was born on a ranch in South Texas, and he and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered to foster care in March 2025. He's a goofy, pleaser who loves to be accepted by other dogs, both big and small. Georgey is more submissive and easy-going, always willing to try new things and considered the class clown. He loves his toys and playing in the yard. He enjoys being around his people and will follow you around, always aiming to please. Georgey can get a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he's in his kennel, often letting out sad whimpers to be let out. He really loves his toys, sometimes preferring to have many pieces of one toy rather than just one! Tough toys are a must for this energetic boy. He's done well meeting kitties and would be happy in a home with them. Georgey is friendly with kids, strangers, and all humans!
Ideal Home
Georgey would love a home with another dog or dogs to play with, a kiddie pool full of water to relax in, and opportunities for walks to explore new things. He would truly be great for most types of households.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is fixed (spayed/neutered), heartworm positive (he has completed a 30-day course of antibiotics and needs to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and current on de-wormer. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Georgey loves his toys so much that he tends to destroy them into many pieces. Tough toys are definitely a must for young Georgey.
