Ideal Home

Roscoe would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can patrol his kingdom and play to his heart's content. He's not really an apartment candidate and needs a little more elbow room than a hallway can offer. He is looking for a dog-savvy adopter, someone who understands strong-willed breeds and enjoys the reward of working with a smart dog. He has decided that the feline lifestyle is just not for him and is looking for a home where he doesn't have to worry about any kitty roommates.

Ongoing Health

Roscoe is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has been tested for heartworm, and if needed, treatment is included.

Training & Support

Roscoe has been spending time with a professional trainer and is making incredible strides in his social skills. He's doing a great job checking in with his handler and is a dream on a leash for someone who knows how to give clear, firm directions. He thrives on routine and clear expectations. When it comes to other dogs, Roscoe can be a little stiff during first greetings, but once introductions are over, he's ready to coexist. He'd be a perfect match for a goofy, medium to low energy female dog who doesn't mind his vocal play style, which is just his way of saying he's having a blast!

Transportation

Roscoe is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Please note there is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
