Briar

Meet Briar! Briar is a sweet, resilient girl who is over 12 years old. She arrived at our shelter from a heartbreaking hoarding situation involving over 135 dogs. For far too long, she simply existed, but now she deserves to live the life every dog deserves. Briar is not the type of dog who will immediately ask for attention, but every day she grows just a little braver. Watching her quietly peek around the corner with curious eyes is a special moment, as if she's deciding if people can be trusted. Those tiny moments mean everything.

Ideal Home

Briar is looking for a peaceful home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by kindness, patience, and soft places to rest. She doesn't need grand adventures. She simply deserves the chance to experience comfort, safety, and unconditional love.

Ongoing Health

Briar needed emergency surgery for a pyometra, had an umbilical hernia repaired, and had a small mass removed from her eye. She also has only three teeth left.

Training & Support

Briar is learning to trust people and may take time to warm up. Patience and gentle encouragement will be key to her continued progress.
