Hi there! I'm Wrennie, a young Shepherd mix girl born around January 1, 2026. I'm expected to be about 50 pounds when I'm fully grown. My journey began a bit ruff; I was found living in a foxhole with my mom and siblings, and I had never been touched by humans before being rescued. I became very ill with parvo and sadly lost my brother. After about a month at a sanctuary, I made my way to a foster home, where I'm finally starting to learn what safety and love feel like. I'm a gentle, playful soul who is a little shy at first, but I'm growing braver every day and have so much love to give once I feel safe!
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a quiet, patient household with at least one other confident, friendly dog to show me the ropes. Having a canine companion isn't optional for me; it's essential as I take comfort in other pups and look to them for guidance and reassurance. A home with a yard would be amazing so I can explore and build confidence in a safe space. I need a calm, understanding environment and I don’t require a crate.
Ongoing Health
I was very sick with parvo, but I have recovered. My adoption fee covers my vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip.
Training & Support
I'm still learning all about the world and am a sensitive, reserved girl who is slowly learning to trust. Once I feel safe, I'll let you pet me and even take treats from your hand (bonus points if you’re patient and move slowly!). I love playing with toys and romping around with my sister or other dogs. I'm working on becoming a cozy cuddler and am getting closer to full human snuggles every day. My first instinct might be to run when something feels scary, but I’m making progress and learning that good things come from kind humans. I’m pee pad trained and still brand new to leash walking, so I’ll need a family willing to help me learn at my own pace.
