Ferrari, a 3-year-old, 50-pound bundle of joy, is a friendly dog with medium energy who enjoys napping, sunbathing, and observing his humans. He's been reported as dog, cat, and kid-friendly, and his foster family believes he's had children in his previous life, as he wags his tail whenever a school bus passes by. Ferrari is generally quiet, becoming more active for walks and meal times. He occasionally vocalizes when left alone, and his foster family is actively working on this. He's a good boy who doesn't chew or damage things, and he knows how to play with his toys appropriately. Ferrari knows basic commands like "sit," "lie down," and "come," and he's eager to learn more. While he's still working on his leash manners, he's improving daily. He absolutely adores car rides, hugs, and meeting new people, treating everyone like an old friend! He enjoys long hikes and learns quickly, but he does tend to overheat, so he'll need some sort of clothing and water when temperatures are above 80°F. He's happy to carry his own water in his backpack on hikes and is content with a water bottle on shorter walks in warmer weather. Ferrari is also comfortable in his crate if his family needs to go out without him. He's house-trained and crate-trained, though he might cry a bit when left alone in his crate, which can be soothed with a calm voice. Ferrari would make a wonderful companion for a busy family or a family that spends most of their time at home.
