Anya is a sweet, spirited 2 1/2-year-old Shepherd mix looking for a loving forever home. This intelligent, affectionate girl is full of energy and personality, and she thrives when she has both physical exercise and mental stimulation. If you're active, enjoy spending time outdoors, and are looking for a loyal companion to share your adventures, Anya may be the perfect match.
Smart and eager to please, Anya is highly trainable and loves learning new things. She's very food motivated (especially when cheese is involved) which makes training both fun and rewarding. She already knows some basic commands, including sit, down, and stay, and is continuing to work on her recall.
Anya loves playing with other dogs and would love a canine companion who shares her playful, exuberant energy. She is an energetic rough-and-tumble type player. She also likes chasing a ball and will generally bring it back for another throw. A home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and burn off some energy is a definite bonus.
When playtime is over, Anya enjoys chewing on her rope toys, carrying around her favourite stuffies, and relaxing in a sunny spot. Above all else, she loves being close to her people. Anya is happiest when she's included in family activities and doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods. Whether it's a person or another dog, she prefers having company and companionship. She is comfortable around kids and initial tests indicate that she could be fine with cats. If you have a cat, we will do more testing.
Ideal Home
A home with a securely fenced yard where Anya can safely run and burn off some energy is a definite bonus. Anya prefers having company and companionship and doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods.
