Meet Betty! This beautiful, goofy, and loving girl is estimated to be around 3 years old. She was originally found as a stray, but has clearly decided her future involves being as close to her humans as physically possible. Betty is equal parts shadow, comedian, and backyard athlete. She loves being outside, running around the yard, chasing birds, supervising squirrels, and digging in her very specific self-made bunker hole. While she's not a yard destroyer, she is deeply committed to her one weird little excavation project. Inside the house, Betty's favorite hobbies include destroying stuffies with impressive dedication, chewing on bones and Kongs, harassing her foster sister for playtime, and following her foster mom from room to room like a slightly anxious but extremely lovable personal assistant. Betty is incredibly affectionate and thrives on connection with her people. Ask her for a kiss and she'll happily oblige. Ask her to be nice and she genuinely tries her best. She knows commands like "come," is working on "sit," "stay," and "shake," and takes treats SO gently. Sometimes she'll even speak for snacks... when the mood strikes her.

Betty would thrive in a home with:
- A fenced yard for zoomies and squirrel patrol
- Older kids (10+)
- A younger, playful dog companion
- Humans who are home more often than not
- Someone willing to continue helping her build confidence and feel safe
Ongoing Health
Betty is working through some mild resource guarding, but does very well when dogs have their own separate space for treats, toys, or meals.
Training & Support
Like many smart, sensitive dogs, Betty does have some anxiety she's continuing to work through. She does not enjoy being crated and can become destructive if isolated for long periods. However, she has already made huge progress and continues to improve every day with patience, consistency, and reassurance.
