Meet Craig!
This sweet boy came to us as a stray and, sadly, experienced significant kennel stress at animal control, which unfortunately placed him on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we stepped in to give him a second chance at a happy life! Craig is a well-trained and intelligent dog who is looking for a dedicated adopter experienced with his breed or similar ones. He thrives on structure, leadership, and consistency. Craig has completed professional training and knows all his basic commands. He's leash-trained, crate-trained, and potty-trained. He's also comfortable with a muzzle, e-collar, and treadmill, and does best with a clear, calm routine.
Craig is a deeply loyal companion who forms strong bonds with his people. While he can be a bit reserved initially, he blossoms into an affectionate and devoted friend once he feels secure. He loves to please and enjoys participating in his human's daily activities, whether that's training, walks, or just relaxing nearby. He's also good at entertaining himself with toys or bones.
Ideal Home
Craig must be the only pet in the home, as he is not compatible with other dogs or cats and has a strong prey drive. He needs a single-family home with a securely fenced yard, preferably privacy-fenced, for safe outdoor enjoyment. Apartment or town home living is not suitable for him. His ideal adopter will have prior experience with his breed or similar breeds and understand the importance of meeting his needs for daily exercise and mental stimulation consistently. A structured environment, consistent expectations, and an active lifestyle are key to his continued success. Craig has not been exposed to children and would do best in an adult-only home, or possibly one with older, respectful teens after careful introductions. Homes with young children will likely be too overstimulating for him.
