Gandolph

Gandolph is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees who is looking for a patient and loving home. He was surrendered to a rescue after living with free-range animals and was initially very scared in his new environment. With the help of dedicated volunteers, he learned to walk on a leash and enjoys his walks immensely. Gandolph can be nervous around new people but has never shown aggression. He thrives when approached calmly and enjoys playing in the yard, especially with his best friend Cherry.

Ideal Home

Gandolph would do best in a calm home environment where he can be given the time and patience he needs to build trust and confidence. Another friendly dog would be a great companion for him, and the rescue even suggests considering adopting Cherry if you don't currently have other pets. A securely fenced-in yard (at least four feet high) is required.

Ongoing Health

Gandolph is listed as having "special needs" due to his past socialization. He requires understanding and a gentle approach.

Training & Support

Gandolph needs a family who understands his need for slow introductions and building trust. He is still learning to gain confidence with new people.
