Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs about 60 pounds. He was rescued from a county shelter and immediately captured our hearts with his sweet nature. Zac had to undergo FHO surgery on a back leg due to a previous injury, but he's made a full recovery and is back to his happy self with no further medical needs or medications. Zac is the epitome of a loyal companion, offering a perfect blend of playful energy and snuggle-buddy cuddles. He's great with other dogs of all sizes, showing excellent manners and respecting their space. On walks, he's a calm and easygoing companion. At home, Zac is a relaxed, low-energy guy who just wants to be near his people. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and loves a good treat for heading into his kennel. Zac thrives on human companionship and attention, showering his loved ones with affection and a bit of charming conversation, especially if dinner is late! He's learning not to jump up when excited and would do well with a family that can continue this training.
Ideal Home
Zac would be happiest in a home where he isn't left alone for long periods. He enjoys having other dogs around or his people nearby to share his life with.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from FHO surgery and requires no further medical intervention or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He is still learning not to jump up when excited and would benefit from continued training in this area.
