Bullseye is a 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix weighing 40 pounds, with an estimated DOB of January 2026. He is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. Bullseye was rescued with his mother and siblings from a rural area outside of Houston. He is described as the strong, silent type – often taking things in quietly before joining in the fun. He enjoys dinnertime, belly rubs, scratches, snuggling, and romping with his siblings. Bullseye is gentle, thoughtful, and has a calm presence. He is equally playful and reserved, content to observe before joining in, and just as happy to cuddle. He has been raised with his littermates and mother and enjoys playing with other dogs. He has also done well with children and has experience with crate training. He is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience.
Ideal Home
We prefer homes that already have another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor and guide Bullseye. If you don't currently have a dog, we'd love to hear your plan for continued socialization. We also prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
Bullseye is a healthy young dog.
Training & Support
Bullseye is potty trained, though some accidents may occur as he adjusts to a new routine. He is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will help him thrive. Continued socialization is important for building lifelong confidence.
