Meet Benson, a sweet and quiet boy with a gentle soul. After a tough start in Texas where he was hit by a car and had to have a leg amputated, Benson has learned that humans can be kind. He now enjoys the good things in life, like treats and a comfortable place to relax. Benson is a dog who appreciates a calm presence and enjoys simply being in the same room with his people, observing the world around him. He doesn't need constant attention, but he cherishes your company from a comfortable distance. Benson is a lower-energy guy who is looking for peace and a soft bed to call his own.

Ideal Home

Benson would thrive in a calm and low-traffic environment. Children over the age of 12 who understand and respect a dog's boundaries would be a good fit. He can be overwhelmed by loud, boisterous younger children. Due to his leg amputation, a home with minimal stairs is preferred to ensure his long-term comfort.

Ongoing Health

Benson is a tripod, meaning he has three legs. He navigates his world with ease, but a home that accommodates his mobility needs would be ideal.

Training & Support

Benson is potty trained and rides beautifully in the car. He has been a perfect gentleman during all vet visits and handling. His calm demeanor means he's not looking for high-octane adventures, but rather a peaceful life.
