Jalapeño is a 9-pound Yorkie with a spicy name and a spicy personality to match! He takes his job as a "stranger danger" specialist very seriously. New people need to earn his trust, and he prefers to get to know them from a comfortable distance first. If someone pushes his boundaries before they are friends, he may let them know he's not ready yet. The key to his heart is food! 🍗 Treats are his love language. He is very food motivated and will happily take snacks from your hand. Once he decides you're one of his people, though, you'll see a completely different dog. Give him a few days to settle in, and he'll happily let you carry him around like a baby, cuddle up beside you, and become your loyal little shadow. The people he trusts get to see his sweet, affectionate side. One thing that comes naturally to him? Loving other dogs! He adores canine friends and enjoys their company much more quickly than he warms up to humans. Jalapeño is not for everyone—but for the right person, he's absolutely worth the wait.
