Skylar *foster needed*

Skylar is a handsome 7-year-old husky mix who was found as a stray in Baltimore. He's a spirited boy who was bred to run, so he loves to test his boundaries. Skylar enjoys his walks, loves to be petted, and is a great car rider! He does have some sensitivities around his neck area, possibly due to past rough handling. While he allows us to attach a leash to his collar, he was a bit mouthy with shelter volunteers when a slip lead was put over his head. He was polite and didn't bite, but this means he'd be happiest in a home without young children. Skylar has also shown some resource guarding with his toys, so we recommend he be the only pet to soak up all the love and attention. Ideally, he would go to a family with husky experience.

Ideal Home

Skylar needs a secure, fenced yard and plenty of exercise to keep his active spirit happy. We are looking for a home without small children and where he can be the only pet.

Ongoing Health

Skylar is neutered, vaccinated, 4DX tested negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Skylar may need some continued work on his sensitivities around his neck and resource guarding with toys. A family with husky experience would be ideal.
