Meet Nena — a 3-year-old, 16 lb Schnauzer mix with the cutest face, a goofy personality, and the sweetest, most gentle nature. Nena can be a bit shy at first and takes a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her playful and affectionate side truly shines. She loves being close to her people and quickly becomes your little shadow, following you from room to room and always ready for a cuddle. As she settles in, her silly and loving personality comes out more and more. Nena is incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds, making her a deeply special companion. She’s still learning the basics of life in a home—she’s currently working on house training and is still building her leash skills, along with learning boundaries, manners, and daily routines. Fortunately, she’s a very good listener with a calm, passive temperament, which makes training a rewarding experience. She’s gentle, eager to please, and responds beautifully to patience, consistency, and kindness. Nena has been doing amazing and is really coming into her own! She’s got a spunky, playful personality and a curious little spirit that keeps her excited about everything around her. She loves exploring and would likely enjoy having a dog sibling to share in the fun. She’s an excellent car traveller and is making great progress on the leash, especially on shorter walks. Nena is also well on her way with housetraining and is nearly fully pee pad trained—such a smart girl! Nena is the ultimate little sidekick, always ready to tag along on your daily adventures. She loves cruising around in her stroller while you run errands, happily taking in all the sights and smells of the outside world. While she can still be a bit shy around certain noises or new people, she’s generally non-reactive and growing more confident every day.
Ideal Home
Nena would thrive in a calm, patient home with people who can continue building her confidence and guiding her as she learns. We are unable to adopt to any household with children under the age of 8 years old.
Ongoing Health
Nena is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Nena is still working on house training and leash skills, and learning boundaries, manners, and daily routines. She is a good listener and responds well to patience, consistency, and kindness.
