Luna is a 10-month-old, 38 lb female Retriever mix with a beautiful black coat. Luna is pure sunshine! Her tail is almost always wagging, her eyes bright with hope, and her heart wide open. Despite a difficult start to life, where she was found abandoned and suffering from mange, Luna loves people deeply and without hesitation. She seeks out affection, leans into you for comfort, and gives it right back tenfold. All she’s ever wanted is to be safe, cared for, and loved—and now that she has a second chance, she’s embracing it fully. She’s gaining weight, her coat is coming back beautifully, and her playful puppy spirit is shining through more each day. She loves running in the yard, playing with toys, and soaking up every bit of attention she can get. Mealtime is her favorite event, and her excitement is a sweet reminder of just how far she’s come.
Ideal Home
Luna needs a home with a yard where she can run and play. She does best with medium to large dogs and would prefer a home with another dog of similar size or larger, as she is still learning appropriate play and can be a bit too enthusiastic with smaller pups. She is good with adults, kids (best with older kids due to puppy jumping, which is currently being worked on), and cats. She cannot live in an apartment.
Ongoing Health
Luna is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has recovered from mange and is gaining weight.
Training & Support
Luna is house-trained and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash and does not show leash reactivity. She is not food aggressive and is not destructive, though she has typical puppy tendencies. She is an occasional barker, especially around mealtime due to excitement. A low to medium flight risk, standard precautions are recommended in new environments.
