Mercedes is a gentle, shy gal who is looking for a family with patience and lots of love to give. She did a wonderful job raising her puppies and now it's her turn for some TLC! Mercedes would do best in a home that can help show her how kind people can be, while respecting that trust takes time.
Ideal Home
Mercedes would thrive in a calm home where her adopters can help her build confidence. She did well with the cats in her foster home and was not reactive when they approached her or her food. She showed friendly body language when a cat rubbed up on her and did not try to chase them.
Ongoing Health
All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, microchipping, and an initial health exam. Mercedes is up to date on her vaccines.
Training & Support
Mercedes is still learning about living in a home but is quickly adapting! She appears to be potty trained and prefers to go outdoors. She loves playtime in the backyard and will even play bow to invite you to join her! While she is a bit timid, she is learning that quick movements aren't always scary. Mercedes has a tendency to get into things when bored, but responds well to a "no" and redirection. Crate training is highly recommended, as she gets bored easily when left alone and struggles to settle. She would benefit from a family who can help her learn to be comfortable alone in her crate. Mercedes loves treats and would learn quickly with the right training. She walks well on a leash. She gets along with some dogs.
