Oakley and Sheriff are two bonded brothers who are sadly looking for a new home due to the passing of their beloved owner. These two are inseparable and would love to continue their adventures together in a loving forever home.
Oakley is a 13-year-old Cattle Dog/Hound mix who still has the playful energy of a much younger dog! He weighs about 40-45 pounds and can be a little timid at first, but his sweet personality quickly shines through. He's up-to-date on his rabies vaccine and is already neutered. Oakley is fine with other dogs, and while he hasn't met cats, he's a gentle soul. He's a slow eater and enjoys a bit of company during meal times.
Sheriff is an estimated 6-7 year old Lab mix, weighing around 40 pounds. He's a house-trained boy who enjoys snoozing in his crate. Sheriff has a wonderful temperament and gets along well with other dogs, though he does like to announce his presence with a bark to initiate play. Like Oakley, his cat-friendliness is unknown. Sheriff is a "speed eater" and thrives when given his meals in a separate, quiet space. He's very friendly but may need a few moments to warm up to new people.
Both Oakley and Sheriff are doing "ok" on a leash, as their previous experience was limited to vet visits due to having a fenced yard. They both enjoy their meals around 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, receiving two cups of Science Diet mixed with warm water.

Oakley and Sheriff would thrive in a home that can keep them together. They need a patient and loving environment where they can continue to bond and feel secure.
Ongoing Health
Both dogs are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations. Oakley is neutered, and Sheriff was neutered as a puppy.
Training & Support
Oakley can be timid initially and may need reassurance. He also requires supervision during mealtimes to ensure he eats slowly and without issue. Sheriff is house-trained and enjoys his crate. Both dogs may need continued leash walking practice. Sheriff has a tendency to help himself to unattended snacks, so keeping food out of reach is recommended.
