Chip

Chip is a silly, lovable goofball who, despite being 4 years old and weighing 80 lbs, is still very much a puppy at heart! He was found as a young pup on the freeway with his littermate. While his sibling was quickly adopted from a county shelter, Chip remained, struggling in the environment. Thankfully, the kind family who found him took him in temporarily, fearing for his safety. Knowing they couldn't keep him forever, they reached out to us for assistance.

Ideal Home

Chip needs a patient adopter who understands he's a big, strong boy who is still learning his puppy manners. He has discovered that he will need to be placed as an only dog. While it's not impossible that with consistent training he could eventually live with another dog his size, for now, he needs to be the sole canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Chip is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

We are currently working with Chip on his leash manners and basic commands. He is willful and strong, so he will thrive with an adopter committed to continuing his training journey. He is not currently house-trained and will need continued support in that area.

Chip is located in Agua Dulce, CA. Adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area due to our requirement for in-person visits and home checks.
