Bear is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old, 60 lb pittie mix with a big presence and an even bigger personality! He's a confident, people-loving boy who approaches the world with enthusiasm and curiosity. Bear is eager to learn and is very responsive, especially since he's treat-motivated, which makes him a joy to train. He truly shines when it comes to his people skills; he's loving and genuinely enjoys human interaction. Bear is happy to be part of whatever you're doing, whether he's soaking up your attention or just lounging nearby. He's already house and crate trained, a true bonus!
Ideal Home
Bear is still in his puppy phase and has a lot to learn as he experiences new things. He'll need continued guidance on leash manners, especially when he gets excited by other dogs. While he can be a bit pushy with other dogs due to his puppy-like enthusiasm, he has shown he's respectful once he gets to know them. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful nature. Bear has shown curiosity and restraint around cats and may be able to live peacefully with a dog-savvy, confident cat with slow introductions. He thrives in a home that provides regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy boy and his adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, heartworm preventative, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Bear is a work in progress and is still learning the rules of the world. He'll need continued guidance on leash manners when encountering other dogs and may need help managing his playful exuberance with other canine companions. With structure, proper introductions, and the right dog match, he'll be a wonderful playmate. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are great for his brain!
