Shakira

Shakira is a delightful 2-year-old, 30 lb mixed breed who was rescued from Puerto Rico and arrived in New Jersey on June 27th. She's now happily settled in her foster home in New York, eagerly awaiting her forever family. Shakira is a playful and intelligent girl with a love for fun and a personality as vibrant as a pop star's! She has a wonderfully puppy-like spirit and enjoys staying active, but she's also a champion napper, happy to relax in her crate after a day of exploring. She's already mastered potty training and has adjusted wonderfully to her foster care environment. Like many rescued pups, Shakira is still gaining confidence and might have a few shy moments as she encounters new experiences. However, she blossoms with affection and is becoming more comfortable and trusting every day, even recently taking a leap onto the couch all by herself!

Shakira is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Shakira is fully potty trained and crate-trained. She is still building her confidence and may have moments of anxiety as she adjusts to new situations. Continued patience and positive reinforcement will help her thrive.
