Meet Tillie, a loving 35-pound Terrier mix who is 2.5 years old. After being rescued from a rural South Carolina shelter with her puppy, Tillie has been thriving in foster care—gaining weight, growing a shiny coat, and building confidence.

Tillie loves fetch, tug-of-war, bones, walks, sniffing, and exploring. She is also an expert cuddler who enjoys pets, kisses, couch time, and resting her head in her person's lap. She is affectionate, playful, curious, and eager to learn.

Ideal Home

Tillie would do best as the only pet. She has played with select dogs, but her ideal home is one where she can be the center of her family's attention. She did well during a few days with a 4-year-old and may be best suited to a home without children or with older children who respect her space.

Ongoing Health

Tillie arrived malnourished with thinning hair, but she has been gaining weight and growing a healthy, shiny coat in foster care.
