Lucy is a beautiful 52-pound yellow Lab who is fully vetted and ready for a fresh start in a loving home. Her journey hasn’t been easy, as she was rescued from an extreme neglect situation where she lived outdoors in a cage with minimal comfort. Thankfully, she was given a second chance just in time. Because of her past, Lucy can be shy at first. She was especially unsure of people early on, but with patience and love, she has come such a long way. She has formed a special bond with another Lab in her foster home and truly thrives with a confident canine companion by her side. Lucy may be a bit more timid around women initially, but she warms up with kindness and consistency. She now walks nicely on a leash and has discovered just how wonderful it is to cuddle on the couch or snuggle in bed. If you have the heart and dedication to help Lucy feel safe, loved, and finally home, her rescue story will truly come full circle.

Lucy is looking for a very special adopter—someone experienced, patient, and understanding, who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to fully blossom. A confident canine companion would be a great addition to her home.
