About Mora

Mora is a sweet and gentle young girl who can be a bit shy and nervous at first, especially in new environments or when meeting new people. With patience, calm voices, and affection, she slowly begins to relax and reveal her loving personality. She enjoys playing, spending time with other dogs, and loves hugs once she feels safe. Mora is joyful and playful, and she does well around other dogs, which helps build her confidence. She shares a rescue story with her sister, Sadie, and they were found abandoned outside a school as very young puppies. Mora has been waiting for a loving forever home ever since.

Ideal Home

Mora would do best with a patient and loving family who understands her gentle nature and is willing to help her feel safe and secure. A home with a fenced backyard is required, and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities would be ideal. She needs a family with a real intention to rescue a dog, not just adopt, and who has an open mind about the behaviors of rescued animals needing protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog thrive. High tolerance and patience are necessary.

Ongoing Health

Mora is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a negative 4DX test and a health certificate. She is on monthly preventive medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm (Nexgard Spectra). Please note that not all rescued dogs are house-trained.

Training & Support

Mora is not house-trained. It's essential to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience and understanding are crucial to building trust and a strong bond. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help her feel secure.
